Reflections: Please be in prayer for the Hudgens family and our church while we deal with the loss of Larry Hudgens, a beloved father, brother, son, and friend. But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Nestled on a dead-end country road about 12 miles south of Bixby sits a little white church with a red metal roof. Surrounded by nothing but ranch land and trees, this little church has become a place of refuge for many people over the years. It is a warm place full of old-time traditions and an unquenched desire to serve the Lord.
Concharty is a place that is overflowing with rich memories. Young and old alike can recall many times that the church grounds were filled with children's laughter, enlightened conversation, beautiful and heart felt singing, tears of sorrow, a spirit moving sermon, or the unforgettable taste of food prepared with genuine love.
As we strive to create new memories we also strive to serve the Lord and to expand our reach. We want to share with you our joy and invite you to join us while we grow in the everlasting spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ.
